Loki, a prominent figure in Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a complex character primarily known as Thor's adoptive brother and a recurring antagonist. Born a Frost Giant on Jotunheim, he was abandoned as an infant by his father, Laufey, and discovered by Odin, King of Asgard. Odin, seeing Loki's potential, adopted him and raised him alongside Thor.

Raised as an Asgardian prince, Loki possessed exceptional intellect, cunning, and mastery of magic, particularly illusion and shapeshifting.
